FVDS Funding Success
FVDS funding success from Young Start National Lottery Community Fund
Forth Valley Disability Sport is delighted to announce we have been awarded a 100% funding grant from Young Start National Lottery Community Fund.
We are immensely proud of the team who have worked hard to make this happen.
Following a supportive & rigorous process, we have secured funding for £95,000 over the next three years. This secures our future and enables expansion; including the recruitment of a new Physical Activity Officer to develop and deliver programs for young people aged 8-24 with a disability in Clackmannanshire, Falkirk, and Stirling.
Sincere thanks to Stephen Cox for his rigour, support & challenge, and for the unfaltering support of our Branch Leadership Team. Our new vision for #TeamFVDS is to #EnhanceLifeChances and #INSPIRE
Chairperson Forbes Maginnis said “We are exceptionally grateful both to the National Lottery but also for the unfaltering support of the leadership team for working together to achieve this. This will now empower #TeamFVDS to provide high quality experiences for young people across Forth Valley. We are proud to take the next step in the development of Forth Valley Disability Sport across Clackmannanshire, Falkirk and Stirling. If you want to know more about our current work and our aspirations, please visit our social media or get in touch.”
Over the next few weeks we will share stories highlighting the fantastic work we currently do to support young people with a disability across Forth Valley to be physically active. We are delighted to continue this great work, but also excited to be able to build on it over the next three years.d
